Established in 1996, we have developed, in line with our spirit of innovation, an impressive portfolio of 11 brands - Sakae Sushi, Sakae Teppanyaki, Sakae Izakaya, Sakae Delivery, Hei Sushi, Hibiki, Senjyu, The Pasta Shop, Crepes & Cream, Kohi Ten and Nouvelle Events.
As a young, dynamic and innovative solutions provider, we regularly break new grounds, offering quality and healthy Japanese cuisine from the heart that caters to the varied needs of its customers. Indeed, diners can now order from an extensive menu of more than 200 items at Sakae Sushi.
Our long-term vision is to become a global F&B company and be the world’s number one top brand recall for affordable Japanese dining with our Sakae Sushi chain of restaurants. To achieve this, we have embarked on a path of aggressive international expansion with over 90 outlets spanning Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.
Our operations are supported by a central kitchen certified to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). In addition, we use technology whenever possible to enhance quality of our products and improve productivity.
Our commitment to excellence has paid off with the Group bagging more than 30 awards and accolades over the years. These include the CitiBusiness-SPBA Regional Brand Award 2006, Singapore Service Class 2004 and Singapore Innovation Award 2003 (Innovation of the Year) for its portable conveyor belt.
Our Chairman and CEO, Douglas Foo has been conferred awards such as the Singapore Youth Award 2008 – Medal of Commendation, 2007 International Management Award, the Singapore Youth Award 2003 and the Entrepreneur of the Year 2002 by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) amongst many others.
